The large fluorescent display of the T32xx makes it easy to confirm your clockings and check flexi-time hours.

Clocking in and out is simple - just hold the badge for a moment in front of the T32xx and it reads automatically.

Smart Cards

Smart card technology reads through non-metallic items, enabling the card to be used while inside a wallet or purse without harming credit cards.

As there is no physical contact between the card and reader, neither will become worn-out by continuous use - unlike swipe readers. This also gives the advantage that dust and residue picked up from the working environment presents no risk of clogging the reader. The cards' passive electronics mean that they do not require batteries and have a theoretical infinite life.

The cards have a durable, wipe clean plastic shell. Available in white or blue*, the blue card is specifically designed for high visibility use where shop-floor hygiene is of great importance. Also available are Tensor Key Fobs. Smaller than Smart Cards, Key Fobs are perfect for use on a keyring. *Blue Smart Cards available at extra cost.

PC Software

The WinTA Start software has a familiar Windows™ interface, providing quick and easy access to information. Security profiles and passwords limit users to specific areas of the software. Request a demonstration copy of the software so you can try it out for yourself. We are certain you'll like it!

WinTA Start holds up to 50 employees details including a photograph of each employee. View all employees or a single department. Quickly find the details you need with the ability to sort on any column or perform a surname search at the touch of a button.

A summary of clocking details can be viewed at-a-glance, showing individuals or groups of employees, and an Exception view quickly identifies areas where the normal working pattern has not been followed.

The year-to-view absence planner shows absences for individuals or departments, making it simple to plan training and holiday dates.

Choose to view all types of absences, a single absence type or all types with a common category. Absence categories and types are fully user-definable.

Up to 9 reason codes can also be stored in the clocking station. These allow clocking out for configurable reasons such as Dentist, Business or Smoking Break.

Working Rules

You can create a wide range of daily working patterns (shifts), with either fixed or flexitime rules. These can run past midnight, making night shifts simple to define.

Overtime is easily monitored with up to four different pay bands in each shift. Bands are selected based on the time and the number of hours worked.

You can define multiple paid or unpaid breaks and ask WinTA Start to insert breaks if an employee doesn't clock them. You can set breaks to activate between set times, and/or after a minimum number of hours have been worked.

Groups are used to define sequences of shift patterns. Rolling Groups repeat a block of shift patterns. The block can contain any number of days or weeks.

AutoSelect Groups have multiple shift patterns available per day. Here, WinTA Start will select the most appropriate shift depending on when an employee starts work. So if you move an employee's shift, WinTA Start will automatically assign the correct shift to the employee.

Each group can be set up to override the normal pattern and use a specific shift on public holidays.

Periodic Overtime is used to calculate overtime on weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

The built in report generator makes it simple to get the information you need from the system.

A range of output styles lets you export to web-pages, spreadsheets or as simple text files. Web Page output provides professional reports that can be easily viewed and printed from any system (PC, Mac, Linux etc) with an internet browser.

Standard reports include:

  • Weekly clock card
  • Lateness Report
  • Payroll Summary
  • Absence Summary
  • Exceptions

With a click of a button WinTA Start reports can be generated as a customised web page that integrates perfectly with a company Intranet.

Clocking system accurately records pay to prevent disputes

Inequality of pay has been smoothed over by BT following the possibility of industrial action. The chief executive, Ian Livingston, saw his bonus more than triple last year, taking his total pay package, including shares, above £3m – while the workforce were initially offered a 2% pensionable pay rise from April 2010 and a 3% rise from January 2011. The union had previously demanded a 5% rise for 2010/11 alone. The company had also offered lump sum payments worth up to £500 for each team member but these have now been removed given the revised 3% terms agreed over 39 months.
