Tensor Self-Service Module (SSM) version 4.4.0.x Features a Redesigned Home Page and Enhanced Absence Planner, Enables Remote Door Functionality Features

Employee booking

Following the recent launch of the latest Tensor.NET version 4.4.0.x., we are happy to announce that we have made available to current and future customers the latest Tensor Self-Service Module (SSM) version 4.4.0.x., which offers a number of new and exciting features, as well as several fixes and resolutions to customer requests.

New Features & Enhancements in the Tensor Self-Service Module (SSM) Version 4.4.0.x.

Home Page – in this version of SSM, the user’s home page has been restyled, with the Tasks and Requests section being moved to a separate page. The home page is now filled with one or more “widgets”, which allow the user to access or perform key functions more easily.

Users may drag and drop widgets to customise their display or use their My Account settings to control which widgets appear and where.

Door status – door Actions functionality is now available on the Show Details dialog of the Door Status report page. Door actions to lock, unlock, release and reset can be triggered for any listed door.

Visitor monitoring – Organisations using the visitor monitoring features of SSM can now check IN visitors from either the My Appointment, Appointments at My Site or Current Appointments pages.

User management – from this version of SSM onwards, new user accounts can be created by administrators directly from within the User Management page.

Absence planner – the requesting of multiple AM or PM absences that span contiguous days are now saved differently. AM multi-day requests now save as multiple full day absences apart from the LAST day of the request period. PM multi-day requests now save as multiple full day absences apart from the FIRST day of the request period.

Shift Assignment – the SSM shift assignment feature contains a new setting to show target, worked to date and balance remaining for employees using the annualised hours method of payment.

Shift Swaps – two new settings, Automatically deny requests within X days and Disallow requests under X days from now, are now available in an administrator’s SSM Settings page. These settings limit when such requests can be made and will automatically deny them if unapproved by a certain time.

Authoriser Responses – in this version a new, authoriser response facility has been added to absence requests. An authoriser can respond to a request from their tasks / requests page or the supervisory absence planner, by typing a short message that is then emailed to the requestor. The requestor can also view responses on their tasks / requests page or absence planner.

Financial details – the SSM financial details web page has been remodelled to make it more user friendly. A person updating their bank account details now has the opportunity of creating a new bank entry if their branch is not already recorded in the system.

Making requests – in this version, employees who are granted SSM accounts but who have not been assigned to an authoriser, are unable to request absence or clocking amendments. A warning message is displayed informing the user that they do not have an authoriser.

Role management – clicking the users column on the role’s summary list page in this version, now displays a pop up showing all the users assigned to the selected role.

Travelling abroad – a new, role specific setting for Travelling Abroad has been added to the absence request dialog in SSM in this version. Requests for absence abroad are highlighted on the authoriser’s tasks and requests web page S-3300-355-355-TravellingAbroadQuestion.

Fixes

Leaver accounts – a tidy up process removes the SSM accounts of employees who are leavers. Prior to this version accounts of employees with leaving dates in the future were also being removed. This issue is now resolved.

Delegation – if a non-authorising user was delegated authorisation rights, they could also make delegations themselves. This is now prevented.

Customer Resolutions

Absence planner – the length of the absence codes displayed on the day cells in the absence planners in SSM can be customised in this version. A new Absence Code Display Characters setting has been added to User Options > Environmental > Screen Defaults / Behaviour > Absence Planner. The user may configure the planner to show two (the default) or three characters.
