Tensor.NET - Software Modification SSM Supervisor Change Status

New changes to Tensor.NET so that Authorising SSM Users are able to book employees they supervise off-site within the SSM.

System Requirements

Version 4.5.1.37 or above ofTensor.NET.

A valid Tensor.NET serial number was activated for Time &Attendance.

A valid Tensor.NET serial number was activated for SelfService Module.

Installation

A person with at least local administrator rights and familiarity with Windows services and your company’s Tensor.NET configuration must perform this installation. If in any doubt please get in touch with your system administrator.

To upgrade to version 4.5.1.37 of Tensor.NET, retrieve the correct version setup kits from your assigned Tensor Engineer.

The process of installation is to install the Server kit first and then once complete, you must then install the Client installation. Launch the Tensor.NET Server installation Kit and follow the wizard instructions to install the software. You may be requested to use the Add Remove Programs feature to remove the existing copy of Tensor.NET before the upgrade can be installed. This procedure does not remove any system data.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install both packages. For further information on this procedure, please refer to the installation guide, or contact Tensor Support for assistance.

Configuration

Activating the Features

The first step is to activate the new feature in the system's ‘Features Selection’ option. Login to the SSM with an account that has Admin credentials. Navigate to Administration -> Features Selection and select the ‘General’ option as shown below. Locate the two new settings ‘Allow supervisors to toggle employee roll call on supervisor widget’ and ‘Allow supervisors to toggle employee clockings on supervisor widget’ setting and enable this option then save the changes.

Next, navigate to the ‘Role Management’ area and enable the same setting in the User’s Role ensuring you save the settings.

Clocking Staff IN/OUT

Once the role option is enabled for toggling clocking status, Logged in Users with this permission are then able to click on the current IN \ OUT status next to the employee being supervised, this will then pop up a message to confirm if you would like to make that employee clocked IN \ OUT (i.e. opposite of what are currently).

Clicking Yes will then push a clocking transaction through for that employee and update the widget accordingly.

Changing Fire Roll Call Status

Once the role option is enabled for toggling Roll Call status, Logged in Users with this permission are then able to click on the current On \ OFF status next to the employee being supervised.

Staff that are already ON will just be booked OFF, this will pop up a message to confirm.

After clicking Staff with a status of ‘OFF’ (i.e booking them ON) the confirmation pop-up will offer the User to allocate to the correct Fire Point before clicking the confirm option.

Clicking Confirm will then push a Fire Roll Call transaction through for that employee and update the widget accordingly.
