Tensor and Advanced Handling sponsor the Priory Parkside FC under 7’s Football Team
In partnership with one of Tensor’s latest customers, Advanced Handling, Tensor are delighted to announce the joint sponsorship of the Priory Parkside FC under 7’s football team for the 2018/19 season.
Formed in 1978, Priory Parkside FC has over fourteen teams from ages 6 to 18 that play in the Hunts Youth League, Cambridge Mini Soccer and Colts Leagues and Cambridge & District Girls League. The club has also been awarded the English FA Standard Charter Award for their dedicated achievements as a Community Club that is committed to delivering the best possible experience for players, referees, coaches and supporters, making football safe and fun for everyone.
In its 40 year history, more than 8,000 youngsters have played for the club with some having gone on to play at the very highest level including playing for England and in the FA Cup Final as well as at a semi-professional level, but the overriding achievement of the club is creating an opportunity for youngsters of any ability to play the game to a good standard, in a safe environment and it is this core community and grassroots ethos that is central to the club.
As a local company, Tensor places great importance on supporting local communities and local organisations, especially those that promote a healthy living lifestyle. A vital component of such a great football club is the huge amount of dedication provided by volunteers & parents. The dedication shown is immense, with many weekends and evenings given up in order to coach the football teams and run the club.
Therefore, when Tensor & Advanced Handling were approached to assist in sponsoring a new club strip for the under 7’s team, which is currently the youngest Priory Parkside FC team, both organisations felt it vital that this endeavour was fully supported.
Steven Davies, the manager of the under-7s team, said,
“I would like to say thank you to Tensor and Advanced Handling for giving my team the opportunity to look smart and professional every time they play football. “It brings them closer as a team and helps with that team bond which is so important at this early stage of their development. It helps them to feel like they are part of a club and to want to put their kit on every week and feel proud. “It’s great that a local company like yourselves has the kindness and good will to help out a local team out. It has really meant a lot to us to have a kit at such an early age.”
Andy White, the chairman of Priory Parkside added,
“From a club perspective, it’s fantastic that people like yourselves help and sponsor teams. It means so much to the youngsters to have their own team kit – I know that thrill from experience! My lad Eric’s played at Priory U7-U14 and I played too from 1979-84, although back in my day our kits were a bit shabby.”
Tensor and Advanced Handling wish all the Priory Parkside FC teams the best of luck in the ongoing 2018/19 season.
