Biometric and Smart Card Access Control Systems From the control of a single internal door through to a fully computerised, multi-site network of control points, a Tensor Access System is the solution. You can control most standard types of internal and external electronic and magnetic door releases and devices, including barriers making full use of location points, whether in full view or hidden out of sight.

Operated by contactless smart cards or key fobs, or biometrics, a Tensor Access System gives you full control over who is allowed access through any controlled point at any time of any day, placing it at the forefront of security solutions.

Tensor Access is modular in design, and so has the advanced capability of being able to be adapted and extended with extra time and attendance clocks and access control kit quickly, easily, and without complication.

Access Rights When a person attempts to pass through an access point, the T32xx access control unit compares the individuals' security profile with that of the access point. Security profiles are based upon the day, time of day, and the security threat level of the attempted access. The Person An individual's security profile is based upon their access group. People are assigned to an access group, either unique to them or common to their department or status. Access groups consist of separate rules for each day of the week, public holidays and shutdown days. These separate daily rules are known as access patterns. Access patterns dictate which areas a person can access at different times throughout the day.

The Access point The security status of each access point is controlled by the Smart Card scanner settings associated to that particular access point. These settings determine the locked status of the door, minute-by-minute, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. If you want the sophistication and speed of smart card control, but do not wish to use a PC, then the T2002 is for you. It is simple to programme and operate, easy to maintain, and has the capability of connecting with up to two Tensor T149x scanners to create a "stand alone" two-door system. The T2002 is ideal for remote barriers or small sites, and is perfect for a low profile security application.

You can upgrade Tensor Access to include digital CCTV, the new technology of deploying a network of Digital Video Recorders (DVR's) using your existing (or separate) Ethernet Network PC infrastructure.
