Harboro Rubber Sing Praises of Tensor Time and Attendance

Harboro Rubber are leading UK rubber moulders who provide a bespoke rubber moulding service. They manufacture rubber components for automotive passenger and commercial vehicles, oil and gas, general engineering and footwear industries. They are a market leader for braking system seals and cover components.

To better manage the close-to-100 members of staff based at their site in Market Harborough in Leicestershire, The Harboro Rubber Co Ltd set out to find the right Time and Attendance System, as well as an Access Control System to improve on-site security measures.

Catherine Rollitt at Harboro Rubber told the Tensor reporter that their main aims and objectives were “to have more security for the building with the access control and to cut down time on the payrolls as we were previously using paper timesheets”. She added, “We did consider one other company but we chose Tensor because the systems fulfilled all of our requirements and needs”.

When asked whether the hardware and software installations went as planned, Mrs. Rollitt replied, “Yes, both the hardware and software installations went smoothly”.

Did Mrs. Rollitt receive any training on how to use the tensor Time and Attendance System? “I received training on how to use the Time and Attendance System. A Tensor trainer came on site and produced an excellent training session. It was informative and showed us how to do everything that we needed”.

Harboro Rubber also has the Tensor Fire Roll Call System installed. Mrs. Rollitt described it as “A lot more controlled now, since we have had Tensor installed. We can simply run a report off the system that tells us exactly who’s on site and where they are located. Before Tensor, we were relying on clipboards in the factory”. She added, “It has only been used on practice runs; but has worked well every time”.

The Tensor reporter spoke to Matthew Atkinson, IT Support Assistant, at Harboro Rubber to understand his thoughts on the level of service he receives from the Tensor Helpdesk. He said, “Generally, support is pretty good and quick to respond to tickets and requests be it via calls or emails”.

We then asked Mr. Atkinson if Harboro Rubber are considering extending their Tensor systems at all, his response was, “The current Tensor system is great; however we would like to seriously investigate replacing our guest signing in procedure which is currently paper based and rather outdated”. Harboro Rubber have enquired about adding the Tensor Visitor Monitoring System to their existing Tensor Time and Attendance and Access Control systems.

When asked what Mrs. Rollitt likes most about the Tensor Time and Attendance System, she replied, “For me the Time and Attendance is very easy to do the payroll, the absence planner is also very good for recording holidays and other appointments”.

Would Mrs. Rollitt recommend Tensor to other companies looking to install Time and Attendance and/or Access Control? “Yes, I definitely would!”.

Summing Tensor up in a few words, Mrs. Rollitt said, “The Tensor system is an excellent system that meets all of our business needs”.
