Reverend Antony MacRow-Wood said he was saddened by stolen items from his St George's church which has been targeted by copper thieves who left a £4,000 repair bill following an overnight raid. Thefts of copper have spiralled up across the UK, as the price of the metal is considerably higher than this time last year. Copper drainpipes and some porch guttering was ripped from St George's in Poole.
