Forum of Private Business reveals members are very positive about the year ahead
The British private business sector is quite confident and upbeat about the year ahead, the latest survey from the Forum for Private Business has revealed.
According to a media news report on this matter, the market research suggests that 85% of the FSB’s members are very positive about the year ahead and fully intend to develop and extend their business over the course of 2014.
Alexander Jackman, head of policy at the Forum, said: “GDP figures are positive, employment is up and confidence among our members has lifted accordingly. With one in three looking to employ more people and one in 10 looking to increase hours, small businesses are showing a positive — though restrained — outlook for 2014.”
The study also revealed that 30% of the companies in the private sector expect to increase the size of their workforce, while 15% expect to increase the hours worked.
