Future £250m super prison set to create 1,000 jobs in North Wales

North Wales has been selected as the preferred location for a £250m super prison, which is expected to be built on a site on a Wrexham industrial estate by 2017.

According to a news report on the matter, this impressive undertaking, set to house up to 2,000 inmates, will lead to the creation of 1,000 new jobs in the area, not to mention that it could be worth £23m a year to the north Wales economy.

Councils, health officials and emergency services in the region have already supported the proposals.
