A cost-cutting measure is seeing some public toilets in Exeter under threat of closure by the city council. The council said: "We appreciate that any closure of a public toilet will be an inconvenience to someone, because that person may either have to walk a little further to the next public toilet, use a customer toilet when they are visiting a shop, cafe or public house, or pay to use a privately run public convenience such as in Princesshay," adding that a minimum of 16 public conveniences will remain.
