Mobile Access Control set to greatly improve the tenancy experience

Mobile access control systems could potentially overhaul the tenancy experience, enabling fast and easy access to a building’s premises and other advanced technologies (such as energy management systems, for example) by using solely one’s smartphone.

As part of an ongoing effort to demonstrate the possible applications of a mobile access control system, HID Global created a demonstration suite in downtown Washington D.C where prospective tenants can preview the property’s mobile access control capabilities that are integrated with other advanced technology in the multi-tenant building. Visitors are provided with a Samsung Galaxy S®4 or Apple® iPhone® 5C smartphone that can be used to enter and exit the suite and activate other systems inside the building.

Users can either tap phone to the reader at a door, or use HID Global’s patented “Twist and Go” gesture technology to rotate the device as they approach from a distance.
