Smart card entry network includes speech output announcing security breaches
Around 160 properties remained without power the following morning because thieves tried to steal cables from a substation during the previous day. A statement from the power company UK Power Networks said it hoped the power would be back on to all those affected in the Cambridgeshire town of Wisbech by the end of the next day. All properties fed by the affected underground cables had to be checked before power could be switched back on.
