Tensor Personnel.NET makes workforce management a lot easier during corporate restructuring
Berkshire-based HMV will be acquired by restructuring firm Hilco, in a move likely to save around 2,500 jobs, a news report reveals.
Although an official announcement is expected early next week, it seems that Hilco will pay £50m for 130 HMV shops and nine Fopp outlets. Hilco has quite an extensive experience in dealing with the HMV business model, given the fact that they’ve been in charge of running the retail operations ever since January 2013, when the multimedia giant went into administration.
It’s not yet clear what will happen with the 100 shops not covered by this deal, since HMV previously operated around 230 retail locations.
In such uncertain times, when companies go through many changes, having a very reliable workforce management system installed can prove to be a major benefit to any HR department, and this is where Tensor Personnel.NET really shines.
Tensor’s personnel software offers everything you would expect from a personnel management system and many more additional features that will save time and aid strategic planning.
Depending on the size of your company, you can easily choose between the three available Tensor Personnel.NET versions, namely either Small Business, targeting companies employing 50 people or less, Lite, ideal for companies employing up to 250 people, and Enterprise, a multi-user, multi-site edition that has no employee limits. Naturally, in the case of a company the size of HMV, the latter version would be recommended.
Even if your company is growing, the Tensor Personnel.NET software will be able to keep up, since it’s quite easily upgradeable to a more advanced version.
The application can store extensive information on each employee, while its built-in Report Designer enables full customisation of generated reports and exporting options. The software also offers a Training Information feature for pending courses, including locations, descriptions and notes, a Letter Writer including mailmerge functionality, as well as an important Pay Reviewer including reports, projected pay increases and salary expenditure.
