Tensor plc achieves NSI NACOSS Gold Certification for Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarms

Tensor plc, the UK based, award winning market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of security, access control, attendance monitoring and energy management solutions, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the NACOSS Gold Certification by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) with respect to the Design, Installation and Maintenance of Electronic Security Systems, including Access Control, CCTV Systems and Intruder Alarms.

This makes Tensor the only Access Control manufacturer and installer in the UK to hold both the NACOSS Gold and the 'Secured by Design' certifications.

The National Security Inspectorate are widely recognised as the leading certification body for the security sector in the UK. They audit and closely monitor their approved companies to ensure that all of them are maintaining the high standards required to achieve the certificate in the first place.

The NACOSS Gold standard builds on product Certification to incorporate Quality Management System Certification. The combination of the Quality Management Systems and the relevant sector specific product or service represents the Gold standard of certification. This level holds the greatest perceived value across industry and by the police, fire and rescue services and insurers.

In order to achieve the NACOSS Gold certification, Tensor plc proved that it complied with the requirements set out in BS EN ISO 9001:2008, NSI SSQS 101, NSI NCP 109, NSI NCP 104, PD6662:2010 and BS 7858:2012. It also demonstrated that it's a financially stable and independently security-vetted company, properly insured and working to a formal and third party accredited quality management system.

Furthermore, as part of the NACOSS Gold scheme, Tensor will henceforth participate in 2 x 2-day audits per annum to ensure that we are maintaining standards in both quality of installations and business management.
