Tensor showcases security package for stadia at FSOA 2017 Annual General Meeting and Conference – Exhibition
Tensor Plc, the No.1 British designer and manufacturer of smart card – based access control and time and attendance terminals, is showcasing a new security package for football stadia at the Football Safety Officers Association (FSOA) 2017 Annual General Meeting and Conference held at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon.
The Football Safety Officers Association (FSOA) of England and Wales was formed in 1992 by a small group of Football Safety Officers for Football Safety Officers.
The aim of the Association is to develop and improve all aspects of Stadium safety including how events are safely managed. However over the years as Stadium design and facilities for spectators have been improved so has the expectations of the customers (fans) who visit our grounds.
In order to keep pace with these heightened expectations the FSOA has and continues to play a significant part, mainly through the Stewards employed by football Clubs, in improving levels of customer care and quality of service delivery. Attending football matches should be an enjoyable experience irrespective of the match result and Safety Officers through their match day staff will play a significant part in achieving this objective.
The security package for stadia is a joint initiative by EyeLynx, Tensor and Zaun to offer football clubs ‘eyes’ all over the stadium environment and access control from the moment fans step out at the train station to when they are in the ground.
The increasingly complex set of factors that’s affecting stadium security nowadays and its impact on the problem of business policy and managing risk is what has brought Tensor together with EyeLynx and Zaun to offer football clubs a comprehensive solution.
The access management is integrated with EyeLynx’s CCTV and SharpView video management system and can incorporate facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, infra-red and audio to track people’s movements around the ground and in its vicinity.
And it can further be integrated with security fencing and spectator railing products from Zaun.
Tensor group sales director Rob Cochrane says: “Our products enable a club to control exactly who is admitted to the ground and to which areas, whether its season ticket holders, occasional fans, agency staff, officials or the corporate audience.”
