Time and attendance systems make annual leave booking simple and transparent
Time and attendance systems will make the process of booking annual leave a very simple, straightforward and transparent one, thus preventing conflicts that usually occur within most offices over this rather sensitive topic.
A recent survey has found that around 50% of UK employees have fallen out with a colleague when fighting over the best days to take annual leave. The poll commissioned by online travel agency Sunshine has also found that women were found to be the more likely to fall out over annual leave and over two thirds admitted to having disputes with colleagues.
Competitive financiers and marketers are the worst “offenders” in terms of fighting over the best available dates, data suggests. In fact, people working in the finance sector made up more than a quarter of people who admitted to falling out with a colleague, while employees in marketing, PR and retail roles were also likely to be involved in conflicts over annual leave days.
Tensor Time and Attendance – the perfect solution for a simple and transparent annual leave booking process
Tensor’s flagship Time and Attendance solution, WinTA.NET, offers companies a superior absence planning and entitlement management tool, enabling managers to easily view an individual’s or a department’s absence records. Furthermore, the system enables employees to easily apply for annual leave and view their remaining entitlement at any point.
Each employee can be allocated different entitlements for absence such as annual leave or allowed sickness. As absence is booked and taken, the remainder available for each entitlement is updated. Entitlement formulae are used to calculate more complex entitlements calculated on a rising scale based upon length of service.
