UK economic recovery set to significantly boost hiring
As most SMEs have reached the highest level of confidence in 5 years, it’s quite likely that hiring is set to take off around the UK until the end of 2013, a new market survey reveals.
As a news report on this interesting topic reveals, the Lloyds’ business confidence index rose to 30 per cent, up from just around 19 percent at the start of the year. In fact, most companies participating in the survey seem to be quite confident about the future of UK economy, with 41 percent of respondents claiming that their confidence levels have increased over the past six months.
Additionally, 38 per cent of businesses forecast a rise in profits over the next six months, which is likely to translate into additional investments and hiring more staff. In fact, more than a fifth of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) plan to increase their workforce, which is far better than the number of companies who actually plan to cut staff.
