Welsh Government pledges support for new housing investment programme
Despite the challenges faced by public challenges across the whole of the UK, the Welsh Government has pledged its full support for investing in new infrastructure, including housing, a news report in the local media can reveal.
Speaking at a housing conference, Welsh Finance Minister Jane Hutt said that the Government would continue to deliver growth and jobs whilst providing safe, secure and affordable homes for those in need.
“Housing is a key priority area in the Wales Infrastructure Investment Plan. This is why I have generated additional investment of £600m since the plan was published in 2012 to support a range of initiatives which will contribute to increasing housing supply and boosting the construction industry in Wales” the Minister said.
“As well as investing traditional capital in schemes such as the Social Housing Grant we have also looked for new ways of delivering additional homes. This has included the Housing Finance Grant, which will deliver around 1,000 additional affordable homes, and the Welsh Housing Partnership, which will result in around £100m of investment in affordable housing.” she added.
Every residential developer that plans to benefit from the extensive level of support the Welsh government will provide for new housing projects should also seriously consider the implementation of a very solid and reliable time and attendance and access control system, designed specifically to help them keep tabs on their workers’ activity and also integrate the workers’ CSCS cards.
The Tensor WinTA.NET Time and Attendance solution will make staff management a much easier and more streamlined process. The platform supplies and extensive level of functionality, from simple clocking when arriving on site to complex operations, such as specific job costings and export to payroll features.
Additionally, Tensor plc supplies a very versatile access control solution for companies actively involved in the construction segment. Construction workers and other people who hold a CSCS card can use their existing card to clock onto a Tensor Time & Attendance system and/or gain access to a construction site or similar, or use the CSCS card to gain access through turnstiles or car park barriers.
