Tensor donation helps bring festive cheer to the Hail Weston Pre-School Activity Group
Based in the picturesque village of Hail Weston, close to St Neots, the Hail Weston Pre-School Activity Group enjoys beautiful scenic surroundings including St Nicholas’ Church which is close by.
The Pre-School take children from 2-years-old until they go off to school when they are 4. They have one classroom so all of the children play, learn and explore together, as well as a very well designed and maintained outdoor play space.
They can have up to 28 children per session and have ample staff so that children have adequate attention and safeguarding. This is a relatively small pre-school class size and this allows them to give children the space, resources and adult attention they need to develop, learn and thrive, something the Pre-Schools takes great pride on.
The pre-school is managed and supported by a voluntary committee elected annually from the parents of attending children. This ensures those closest to the pre-school experience are those setting the priorities. On a day-to-day basis the pre-school is run by their incredibly dedicated and experienced pre-school leaders and staff.
Hail Weston Pre-School Activity Group is a charity-run village pre-school that relies upon fundraising activities to enable them to purchase additional learning resources for the children. Similar to a lot of charities, they have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic as they had to cancel all of their fundraising efforts since March.
As Tensor PLC is the largest employer in Hail Weston and always keen to try to support the local community, we have decided to try to bring some festive cheer to the Hail Weston Pre-School Activity Group.
Tensor has made a donation to help with the Pre-School’s fundraising efforts, while Tensor Chairman, Nigel Smith, has also donated a few bottles of wine from his personal collection for the their Christmas raffle: 1 bottle of Cht Montlabert 2014 St Emillion grand cru classe, 1 bottle of Cht Rauzan-Ségla 2012 Margaux grand cru classe and 2 off ½ bottles of Cht Guiraud 2009 grand cru classe Sauterne.
“As a charity run preschool for the village of Hail Weston, we like many other charities in the country lost out on valuable fundraising events during the lockdown, we are very grateful for all the members in the local community and companies that have made donations towards our Christamas raffle; for Tensor’s donation of £100 straight towards Hail Weston Pre-School and for Nigel’s personal donation of a selection of wines to be added to our Christmas raffle, we are hoping that the generosity of everyone and the opportunity to win some wonderful prizes just before Christmas, will bring everyone some much needed festive cheer. We ask everyone if they can, to dig deep and help support us during these difficult times,” said Sam Sinclair, Pre-School Leader, Hail Weston Pre-School Activity Group.
