Tensor sponsors Kettering Futsal Club Youth Teams
Tensor is helping Kettering Futsal Club achieve their goal of raising £4,500 to help fund vital equipment (e.g. defibrillator and additional training aids) to help further bolster the Youth Teams’ activity and players’ development.
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA. The sport is recognized as one of the faster growing sports in the last decade, and over 50 million people is believed to play Futsal around the world.
The Kettering Futsal Club was established in 2010, a Northamptonshire Futsal club founded by Sam Hallet. Sam introduced the game within the school where he teaches. The students loved the game immediately and the futsal revolution began. After a year, Sam managed to get Futsal on to the P.E curriculum which meant every student would play Futsal in school for a 6-week block.
The club’s mission is divided into two main objectives. First, provide players with professional Futsal training with a focus on the development of the different aspects of Futsal. Second, grow the brand that is Kettering Futsal Club, so that they may best benefit their sponsors and partners.
The club is composed of approximately 90 members from an elite senior men’s team, a development men’s team, an Under 19s team, a women’s team and two U-14s youth teams. This is to allow the club to have a clear progression route for the players.
Kettering Futsal Club elite senior men’s team have been crowned champions of the FA National Futsal League Midlands Division and are Northamptonshire’s only FA National Futsal League team.
