Three UK boarding schools have deployed biometric access control and time and attendance systemstechnology in order to control access the schools, verify students’ identities and register their attendance, a news report has been able to reveal.
Pupils normally register in three times a day at meal times and when they leave the school grounds and on their return and alerts can be sent out to teachers if pupils do not return by the designated times.

The biometric access control units are IP enabled, using an Ethernet 10/100Mb for connecting to a central control unit.
